Pot allegation leads to felony charge

A Burlington man was charged with felony bail jumping Jan. 12 after being caught with marijuana.

Isaiah Brenner, 19, was charged in Racine County Court with felony bail jumping as well as misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of marijuana.

According to the criminal complaint filed in Racine County Circuit Court, Brenner was pulled over in Rochester for a traffic stop Jan. 11. The Racine County Sheriff’s deputy that conducted the stop alleged he smelled marijuana, and searched Brenner’s car.

The deputy allegedly found rolling papers and what was suspected to be marijuana. The deputy tested and weighed the substance, which allegedly turned out to 1.7 grams of marijuana.

Brenner was charged with possession of marijuana in October 2016 and was released on a signature bond that stipulated no illegal activity or possession or consumption of a controlled substance.

 

Other complaints

     Samuel Olson, 51, was charged with drunken driving, a fifth or sixth offense, Jan. 4 in Walworth County Circuit Court.

He was also charged with operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, fifth or sixth offense, and felony bail jumping.

His preliminary court date is set for Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m.
