CRAIG J. HANSEN

      Craig J. Hansen, 56, Long Lake, died May 3, 2017. He was born March 9, 1961, to Tex and Audrey (Block) Hansen in Burlington. He grew up with his three brothers in Union Grove.

Craig attended Union Grove Union High School until he joined the Navy. After basic training in San Diego, he served on the USS Alamo in the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf.

He liked fishing and being outdoors. A skilled handy man, Craig enjoyed tinkering with and repairing mechanical things. He enjoyed following the Packers and Brewers. His quick wit and smile led to many amusing conversations and laughter.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Tex and Peggy Hansen; his brothers, Dale (Melissa), Paul (Karla), and Mark (Marie); his companion, Mary Hanson; nieces and nephews, Amber Hansen, Emily Curtiss, Henry Hansen, and Paul Hansen; aunts; uncles; cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Phillip and Evelyn Block and Arnold and Pauline Hansen.

Visitation is Friday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home, 620 15th Ave., Union Grove. Service performed by Pastor Manda Stack will begin at noon. Burial will follow at 1 p.m., at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
