LOIS M. SCHRANK

Lois Marie Schrank, 90, died peacefully May 10, 2017, at Linden Grove, Mukwonago.

She was born in West Allis, on Oct. 22, 1926, to the late Joseph and Amanda Lotharius. At a young age, she had a passion for ice-skating. Her parents bought a cottage on the Fox River and she skated the river to Waterford. Her passion for skating brought her into her dear husband Bill’s life one Christmas morning. They fell in love and were happily married for 69 years.

Lois was a city girl turned farm girl, picking and selling sweet corn, feeding chickens, and selling eggs to the neighbors. She raised four boys and kept the bookkeeping all together for the farm. Lois could do it all. Her strong faith in the Lord was evident in all she did. She always listened with a loving ear and wisely offered advice when requested.

She will be remembered as a good friend, loving mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Sandra), Robin (Phoebe) and William (Pamela); grandchildren, Kimberly (John) Thompson, Ian Schrank, Scott (Becca) Schrank, Andrew Schrank and Benjamin Schrank; great-grandchildren, Elias, Madilyn, Jonas, Eden, Evan, and Logan; niece, Karen Raht Hill; nephews, Paul and Steven Hayes; sister-in-law, Irene Hayes; other relatives and many friends.

She was further preceded in death by her husband, and son, Jeffrey.

Services are Monday May 15, at 4 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, S89W22970 Maple Ave., Big Bend, with visitation in church prior to services from 3:30-4 p.m. A light lunch will be served afterward, and burial will follow the luncheon at 5:30 p.m., at Oakwood Cemetery in Waterford. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.

In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy the family suggests memorials to Christ Lutheran Church in memory of Lois.

Her family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Linden Grove, Mukwonago for their special care of our mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
