ROBERT A. KUHN

Robert A. Kuhn, 49, of Burlington, died  Feb. 26, 2012, in Wisconsin Dells. He was born Nov. 24, 1962, to Rupert and Jeanette (Wilfert) Kuhn. After Rupert’s death, Bob was lovingly raised by his mother and stepfather, Jim Brandes. Bob was a lifetime resident of Burlington and a part-time resident of Wisconsin Dells. He attended St. Mary’s Grade School and was a graduate of Burlington High School.

On Jan. 6, 2005, he married Maria Carmen Oertel.  He owned and operated Slumberland Furniture in Delavan. He enjoyed riding his Harley, working on Fiats, working in his garden, boating on the Wisconsin River and spending time in his garage. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, friends, his puppies, and living life to the fullest.

Survivors include his loving wife; children, Paige, Jenna, Robert, Kayla, Lydia, Kelsey; siblings, Steve Kuhn, Teri (Jim Philip) Kuhn, Randy (Robin) Kuhn, Tammy (Pat) Molumby, Ginny (Ralph) Braden, Kim (Greg) Epping, Tim (Darlene Kelly) Brandes, Patti (Dean) Sturdevant, Karen (Tom) Madison, Jackie (Bob) Epping; his father-in-law, Howard Oertel; sisters-in-law, Jodi (Dave) Miller and Sheila Oertel; nieces; nephews; relatives; friends; his canine companions, Otto and Chesser

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rupert Kuhn, Jeanette Brandes, and his stepfather, Jim Brandes.

A celebration of his life is Thursday, March 1, at 7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Thursday, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to “The Time Is Now” in care of Sal Dimiceli in Lake Geneva or at www.timeisnowtohelp.org are suggested

    to all of our friiend Bob’s family we try to express our sorrow and shock. our prayers and thought are with you. The river and sunset cove will never be the same.
