PATRICIA DESCH


Patricia Desch, 81, Burlington, died March 16, 2012, at Zilber Hospice House in Milwaukee. She was born on June 13, 1930, to the late Richard and Ida (Zick) Voigt. She spent her early life in East Troy and was a graduate of East Troy High School.

On March 31, 1973, in Elkhorn, she married Donald Desch. Following marriage they resided in East Troy.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Burlington and East Troy for many years. She was also a member of East Troy Bible Church, Grace Church in Burlington, The Foster Grandparents Program, ETHS Alumni Association and Riverview Manor Residents Club.

Survivors include her loving husband; children, Donald (Vickie), Terry (Nancy), Thomas Stobber; seven step-children; grandchildren, Michelle (Brian) Baker, Ben, Matt and Sarah Stobber, and Rachel and Bethany Stobber; great-grandchildren, Griffin and Aiden Baker and Ashlynn and Bryton Bell Stobber and Eli Stobber; sisters, Anne (Art) Heffner and Jean Bodkin; brother, Arthur Voigt; first husband, Charles Stobber; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her brother, Richard Voigt Jr.; sister, Dorothy (Maynard) Stachelski; and brother-in-law, Chuck Bodkin.

A memorial service is Wednesday, March 21, at 6 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Friends and relatives may meet with the family March 21, from 3 p.m., until the time of service.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the doctors and RNs at Aurora Burlington Hospital, the doctors and RNs at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Dr. Haider, and all the RNs at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center in Burlington, and the staff at Zilber Hospice Center for the care they gave Patricia.
