Participants in the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Burlington High School March 31 will not only have a chance to find sweet prizes inside brightly colored eggs, but their families will also have an opportunity to contribute to a local food pantry.
The fifth annual egg hunt, organized and hosted by the BHS Driven student leadership club, will be held on the school tennis courts from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
With more than 10,000 eggs, several activities – including face painting and coloring book activities – a visit from the Easter bunny and separate egg hunts for four different age groups, there will be fun offered for children ages 0-11.
Organizers are encouraging participants and their families to bring donations of non-perishable food items for Love Inc., an independent social service agency that operates of food pantry for low-income local residents.

10 a.m. – Gates Open (participants receive goodies bags); Optional canned good collection for Love, Inc.; coloring book station opens; face painting offered; concessions available; 50/50 raffle ticket sales begin; Easter tattoo stations open; Easter bunny on grounds.
10:05 a.m. – announcements/welcome.
10:15 a.m. – 0-2 age hunt.
10:25 a.m. – 3-5 age hunt.
10:35 a.m. – 6-8 age hunt.
10:45 a.m. – 9-11 age hunt.
11 a.m. – 50/50 raffle winner announced.
11:30 a.m. – activities conclude.
