Bauman, Korb advance in City Council primary

      The City of Burlington primary election for District 4 alderman saw incumbent Todd Bauman and challenger Frank Korb advance to the April 2 spring election.

According to unofficial results, among the 143 votes cast, 63 went to Bauman while Korb advanced by narrow margin over Art Gardner.

Korb received 41 votes to Gardner’s 39 votes.

Bauman, 47, was first elected to the Common Council in 2013 and has served three consecutive two-year terms.

Korb, 46, an art teacher, is a first-time challenger and has been involved as a volunteer in campaign efforts of candidates seeking state and federal office.
