Motorcyclist critically injured in Sunday crash near Burlington

A Franksville man remained in critical condition Wednesday following a motorcycle crash Sunday evening just west of Burlington in the Town of Spring Prairie.

Kyle Castellion, 22, was taken to a Milwaukee area hospital by medical helicopter following the crash, which occurred on Highway DD near Gardner Road, according to Capt. Scott McClory of the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department.

His passenger, Chelsea Bullis, 21, was injured and remains hospitalized with what authorities said do not appear to be life-threatening injuries. Her specific condition was not known Wednesday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, Castellion and Bullis were not wearing helmets and Castellion did not have a valid motorcycle license. A blood sample was taken from Castellion to determine if drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor.

The initial investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed when Castellion lost control and crashed.

Highway DD was shut down for several hours and traffic was rerouted.

The crash remains under investigation by sheriff’s officials.
