EUNICE M. SANDERS


Eunice Mae (Tucker) Sanders, 82, Waterford, died peacefully June 12, 2012, at her home. She was born July 12, 1929, to the late Margaret and Wilbur Tucker in Pierpont S.D. where she received her schooling.

She married Paul Sanders in Aberdeen S.D., Sept. 3, 1949. They moved to southern Wisconsin in the mid 1950s before settling in the Waterford area where they raised five children. He preceded her in death.

She worked at Foster Forbes Glass Co. in Burlington as a laborer and many area restaurants including The Highland as a waitress. She also did volunteer work at Burlington Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Burlington Ladies Auxiliary VFW 2823 where she was a recording secretary.

She was an avid bingo fan going on many bus trips with all her great friends. She also enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers.

Survivors include her children, Duane (Pam) Sanders, Tom Sanders, Paula (John) Hamric, Gary (Julia) Sanders, Brenda (Michael) Schulz; grandchildren, Brennan (Ann) Sanders, Kristin (fiancé John Hansen) Sanders, Addie and Emilee Schulz; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Sanders, Trent Sanders and Ryan Crane; brothers and sisters, Newton (Lucille) Tucker, Donald Tucker, Gilbert (Ellen) Tucker, Thomas (Cheryl) Tucker, Linda (Tom) Demel, Joyce McCoy, Virgil (Nita) Tucker; other relatives and friends.

She was further preceded in death by her brothers, Milton, Charles and Billie; two special nieces; mother- and father-in-law, Catherine and Anton Sanders.

Visitation is Friday, June 15, from 3-5:30 p.m., with services at 6 p.m., at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford. The Rev. Lawrence Williams will officiate. Burial is Saturday, June 16, at 9 a.m., at Oakwood Cemetery, Waterford, please meet at the cemetery.
