Barbara Allen McCumber, 65, died June 15, 2012, at Lakeland Nursing Home, Elkhorn, with her children by her side. She was born Oct. 10, 1946, in Burlington, to Kenneth and Delores (Finucane) Christensen. She was a lifetime resident and graduate of Burlington High School.
On Feb. 28, 1966, she married Larry McCumber, Sr. in Tomah, for 31 years. She loved her family very much and was always there for them when they needed support most. When she wasn’t around the kitchen table engaged in conversation, or playing cards or dice, she could be found on the golf course.
Survivors include her children, Timothy (Pamela) McCumber, Merrimac, Larry McCumber Jr., Lyons, and Dena McCumber Morris, Hastings, Minn.; grandchildren, Kedzie and Abbey McCumber, Ashley, Cecelia. Nathan, and Lilly McCumber, and Kaylee and Emily Morris; her mother; her siblings, Christine (Al) Osborn, Kenneth (Kirsten) Christensen, and James (Sue) Christensen; many nieces and nephews; many relatives and friends; as well as sister-in-law and caregiver, Dianne Wiemer.
She was preceded in death by her father; nephew, Jason Greendeer Fitzpatrick, and her best friend since high school, Sandy Fettes.
Funeral services were June 18. Molthen-Bell & Sons Funeral Home, South Milwaukee, served the family.
