MALISSA G. MEINEN

Malissa Grace Meinen, spent 31 years on this earth touching every soul she encountered. On June 22, 2012, Malissa was met by a tragic accident that left her severely injured. On June 23, at 9:36 p.m., after heroically saving the lives of two strangers by being an organ donor, Malissa took her last breath with those she loved at her side.

On the steps of Heaven, welcoming Malissa into God’s Kingdom, were her Mother Brenda Meinen and her Father Ronald Meinen, her maternal grandparents, Vern and Dorothy Owen, her paternal grandparents, Emil and Doris Meinen, as well as many others she loved who made the journey before her.

Left with the heartache of her loss is the love of her life, Ron Nevins, and his son, Jake Nevins; her second mother, Donna Meinen; her sisters, Briget Meinen (Tammi Smith), Amanda Meinen, Ada Meinen; and sisters of the heart, Nicole and Jodie Sherwood; her brothers, Tony Owen, Mike Meinen (Alexis Anderson), and Don Burkett; her aunts, Phyllis Schenning, Donna Matizavich, Lauri Savalgio, Paula Brown, and Pam Colwell; her uncles, Jim Meinen, Kenneth Meinen, and Brad Owen; nephews, Marek and Keegan Owen, Trenton Kaser and Michael Meinen; as well as many other family and friends Missy loved and cherished.

Though her years were short her life was long. Malissa never missed an opportunity to be amazing. Everything she did was done with the flare of a loving heart. Missy, with her Border Riders Family, celebrated her passion for the open road. This passion she brought with her to work at Sauk Prairie Harley Davidson. Her love of life transcended into her garden where all she touched flourished with vivacity. The home she shared with Ron was her pride and will forever hold her heart. For all of those who loved her, for those of you touched by her amazing spirit, to everyone who shared her laughter, we send an eternal and heartfelt thank you.

A Celebration of Life service is Saturday, July 14, at 3 p.m., at Farber Funeral Home, 2000 Viking Drive, Reedsburg. Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home.
