ELIZABETH A. GRISSMEYER


Elizabeth Ann Grissmeyer, 68, Salem, died July 9, 2012, at Lake Country Health & Rehab in Oconomowoc.

She was born in Minnesota April 5, 1944, to the late Herman and Victoria (Penney) Goodpasture. She had been married to Francis “Frank” Grissmeyer, who preceded her in death.

She worked as a nurse at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee for more than 15 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Burlington and a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Waterford. She enjoyed crafting, camping, was a free spirit, had a love of life and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished, and her dogs Ashley and Morgan.

Survivors include her sons, Scott (Julie), Chris (Carrie), Todd (Sarah), Matt (Jamie); grandchildren, Ian, Ava, Kenny, Breanna, Carissa and Nora; her special friend, Alan Weis.

She was further preceded in death by her former husband, Frank; and brother, Kenneth Goodpasture.

Visitation is Wednesday, July 11, from 4 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. The Rev. Joseph Debski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.

Memorials to The Stroke Survivors Foundation are suggested.
