JERRY L. HIMEBAUCH


Jerry L. Himebauch, 66, Burlington, died tragically on July 23, 2012. He was born Sept. 1, 1945, to the late William “Ken” and Ella (Lightfield) Himebauch.

He married Terri Carroll on April 10, 2004.

He worked as a patrolman for the Walworth County Highway Department for 19 years. He was proud to be a volunteer firefighter for the Lyons Fire Department and served as Assistant Chief and Lieutenant during his 30 plus years with the department. He also worked for Stohl’s catering. His favorite past time was watching NASCAR and spending time with Terri at their trailer in Baraboo.

He was a loving father and doting grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kindness, and his passion for helping others.

Survivors include his wife; children, Mark Allen (Mellissa) Himebauch and Kimberly Catherine (Nicholas) Peter; stepchildren, Amy Lee Peterson, Crystal Rose Lewandowski, Lee Jacob Gaertner, and Diana Jean Gaertner; grandchildren, Jason Peter, Nicholas Peter, Jr., Ryan Peter, Madeline Himebauch, Isabella Himebauch, Destiny Higdon, and Grace Tidwell; other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Saturday, July 28, at Lakeland Community Church from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. The Rev. Buck will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at the Spring Prairie Cemetery. Miller-Reesman Funeral Home, Union Grove, is serving the family.

  2. Jerry will always be my 5th brother and I will miss seeing him when I come home. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

    Jerry and I went all through school together had many happy time as kids from the same neighbor hood always enjoyed visiting with him when I would come home. Sorry for you loss, he was a great guy, will always be fondly remembered.
