The Waterford boys soccer team did not play well in a 2-1 loss to Racine Park at Pershing Park on Saturday.

“We didn’t connect well offensively, and didn’t keep our shape well defensively,” head coach Rob Blascoe said.

Racine Park led 2-0 at the half.

Blascoe added that the team had a few injuries and was quite shorthanded by the end of the game.

“All should be fine for the next game,” he said.

Vs. Oconomowoc

Although this was another 2-1 defeat, Blascoe was very happy with his team’s play.

“We played an amazing game and actually could have won,” he said.

After being down 1-0 at the half, Waterford tied the game early the second half. Oconomowoc scored the winning goal with about 12 minutes to play.

“Freshman goalkeeper Nicholas French played extremely well, making 10 saves,” Blascoe said.
