JOYCE J. ROBERS


Joyce J. Robers, 84 Burlington died Aug. 24, 2012, at Linden Grove in Mukwonago. She was born May 13, 1928, to the late William and Wilhelamina (Schmidt) Wertz in Kenosha. Her early life was spent in Wilmot and she graduated from Wilmot High School.

On Oct. 25, 1947, she married the late Norman L. Robers at Holy Name Catholic Church in Wilmot. Following marriage, they resided in Lyons, Wilmot, then in Burlington, since 1980.

She was proud of her 52 years working as a bookkeeper, at the Wilmot Ski Hills. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing in her card clubs, traveling, entertaining and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Gayle Adrian, Gary (Barb) Robers, Diane (Paul) Robers-Glass, Donna (Alik) Dremo; grandchildren, Jason Adrian, Shannon (Mario) Gaglione, Bryan Robers, Chad Robers, Kyle (Jessica) Robers, Tim (fiancée Michelle Tamminga) Robers, Anthony Dremo; and seven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Tuddie Rausch and Arlene Techert.

She was further preceded in death by her great-grandson, Michael; siblings, Raymond, Melvin and Nadine Wertz

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Linden Ridge and Linden Grove, for all their care and compassion they gave mom.

Funeral services are Tuesday, Aug. 28, at noon at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. The Rev. James Volkert will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Ridge Cemetery, Kenosha.
