After getting their first win of the season early last week, the Waterford High School boys soccer team dropped two games recently.

The Wolverine boys fell 5-0 to Kenosha Bradford Tuesday in a non-conference game, and 4-1 to Delavan-Darien Aug. 30 in a Southern Lakes Conference matchup.

The losses drop Waterford for 1-7 overall and 1-1 in the SLC.

In the home-field loss to Bradford, Waterford trailed just 1-0 at the half, but gave up four goals in the second half. Bradford so far this season is undefeated.

A similar outcome took place in the Delavan-Darien loss.

“I thought we were going to end up with a better result as it was 0-0 after 30 minutes and only 1-0 at the half,” head coach Rob Blascoe said. “We gave up two quick goals in the second half and kind of lost our rhythm at that point.”

The Wolverines only goal came in the 68th minute when Austin Swigart scored off an assist from Ben Plantz.
