GLADYS REGULA CRAMER


Gladys Regula Cramer, 87, Burlington died Oct. 22, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Oct. 15, 1924, to the late Peter and Sophia (Mikula) Hefty in Burlington. She grew up and attended schools in Burlington.

On July 13, 1946 she married Joseph James Cramer at St. Charles Catholic Church. They lived on the farm in Waterford, later moving to the farm in Burlington. He  preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 1999. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and a Gold Star Mother. She enjoyed her flower gardens, raising chickens, quilting, crocheting, painting, her tropical fish, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors include her children, Joseph (Donna) Cramer, Laurence (Lois) Cramer, Joanne Cramer, Kathleen (Mark) Cramer Fields, Jennifer (Randolph) Bero, Teresa (John) Cramer –Mc Donald, Dominic Cramer, Andrew Cramer; her grandchildren, Aaron ( Michele) Henderson, Annie Kalson, Matthew (Katie) Cramer, Luke (Nicole) Cramer, Josie Cramer, Angela (Jason) Hansen, Brian (Crystal) Cramer, Laura (fiance Adam Brulz) Cramer, Deanna (Nathaniel) Goetz, Steven Kowalchyk, Eric (fiancée Shizuka Franklin) Kowalchyk, Bryan Fields, David Fields, Danielle Janda, Justin (Amanda) Bero, Ashley Bero, Lisa Bero, Johnathan McDonald, Tyler McDonald, Nathaniel McDonald, Marissa McDonald, Stephanie Cramer, Taylor Cramer, Alexis Cramer; great-grandchildren,  Emma  Cramer, Madelyn Cramer, Joseph Cramer, Jacob Cramer, John Cramer, Coi Hansen, Ty Hansen, Alina Hansen, Bryce Cramer, Samantha Goetz, Benjamin Goetz, Nadia Bero, Tatum Bero, Reece Bero, Ashton Acevedo, Avery Acevedo; siblings, Warren Hefty, Margie Schoenberg, Barbara Droge, Jerome Hefty, James Hefty; son-in-law, John Kalson; daughter-in-law, Leslie Cramer.

She was further preceded in death by her children, David, Daniel, Suzanne and siblings, Robert, Delores, Marylynn, Donald, John, Peter, Joyce, and Sophia.

Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 3-6 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A private burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that you take the time to do “A Random Act of Kindness” expecting nothing in return, to someone in need.
