UGHS to present ‘A Bad Year for Tomatoes’

UGHS’s theatre department is currently working on its newest production, ‘A Bad Year for Tomatoes’ written by John Patrick and produced with permission by Dramatists Theatre Inc.

The play follows the famous Hollywood actress, Myra Marlowe, who heads out into the country in order to escape and write her memoirs. However, between nosey neighbors and her agent who wants her to come back, Myra is unable to get any work done. In order to get some privacy, Myra invents a mad, homicidal sister who is locked up but occasionally escapes long enough to scare people away. When the neighbors decide this sister needs religious intervention, Myra knows it’s time to get rid of her. However, everything does not go according to plan when the town accuses Myra of murder in this great comedy.
