A 26-year-old Waterford man is charged with selling heroin out of his home and at a Yorkville fast food restaurant.

According to the criminal complaint filed Dec. 29 in Racine County Circuit Court:

On three occasions, Andrew Hauck, 5406 Clearview Lane, Waterford, delivered a quantity of 3 or less grams of heroin to a cooperating citizen while under observation by agents of the Racine County Sheriff’s Department Metro Drug Unit.

The drug buys occurred Aug. 12 at Hauck’s Waterford home; Oct. 18 in the parking lot of the Yorkville restaurant; and Oct. 27 in the restaurant’s bathroom.

Hauck is charged with three felony counts of delivering heroin in an amount of 3 grams or less. Sentencing guidelines for all three charges are enhanced due to Hauck being charged as a subsequent offender for having prior drug offense convictions.

If convicted of all charges, Hauck faces 49.5 years in prison; $75,000 in fines; or both.

He appeared in court for a Jan. 3 initial appearance in which his attorney asked that all charges be dropped. That request was denied.

Hauck is next due in court Jan. 12 for a preliminary hearing, when the court will decide if the case should proceed to trial.
