A 24-year old woman has now been charged in an Oct. 5 drug raid at the Wind Lake home she shares with her brother, who was charged previously.

According to the criminal complaint filed in Racine County Circuit Court:

• Nedra L. Brown, was present at the home, 26644 Long Lake Road, Wind Lake, when Racine County drug agents executed a “knock and announce” search warrant Oct. 5.

In her bedroom, agents reportedly found drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana that she admitted belonged to her.

She is charged as a repeat offender with felony possession of Tetrahydrocannabinols (THC, the active chemical in marijuana) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

If convicted of all charges, she faces a maximum of 9 years, 7 months in prison; $10,500 in fines; or both.

She is scheduled for an initial appearance in Racine County Circuit Court on Dec. 2.

• Lance S. Brown is charged with two felony counts of delivering heroin.

According to the criminal complaint, on two occasions Brown exchanged bags of heroin for cash while he was under surveillance by drug unit investigators.

The drug buys were made between Brown and a confidential informant whom drug agents had outfitted with an audio transmitter.

The buys occurred at the Waubeesee Lake boat launch in Wind Lake and at Brown’s residence.

If convicted of both felonies, Brown faces 25 years in prison, $50,000 in fines, or both.

He is next scheduled in Racine County Circuit Court for a pretrial conference on Dec. 16.

Lance S. Brown is also facing felony drug charges from February of this year in Waukesha County Court. A hearing is set for Jan. 5 at the Waukesha County Courthouse in that matter.

  1. I feel sorry for Lance’s & Nedra’s Mother. If ever there was a parent who tried to raise her children the right way, it was her.The sad fact in life is that her children made sad choices which, no doubt has devastated her. I know that she will stand by them & always love them. I am not fond of anyone who sells drugs. It costs many lives of those who overdose. I only pray that someday no one will sell or use. (One can only hope for this even if the odds are slim).
