DORIS M. SIEWERT


Doris M. Siewert, 83, Union Grove, Dec. 11, 2011, at Oak Ridge Care Center.

She was born Aug. 30, 1928, to the late Benjamin and Thecla (Schlitz) Arentz in Kenosha, where she spent her early life. She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

On July 3, 1948, at St. George Catholic Church, Kenosha, she married Wilfred “Buster” Siewert. Following marriage they lived and worked on their farm in Yorkville Township.

She was a charter member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, a member of St. Robert’s Women’s Club and a 4-H Leader. She was blessed with many gifts and talents. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, ceramics, gardening and her flowers. She lovingly used her talents to make heartfelt gifts for her family and friends over the past 60 years. Using her seamstress skills she volunteered her time and talent to sew costumes for the Aquaducks Ski Team.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years; children, Sherri Moe, Sally Willingham (Frank Cavaliere), Sandra Siewert, all Union Grove; grandchildren, Shawn Willingham (fiancée Misty Everett), Tammi (Carter) Miller, Kalyn (Doug) Hafemann; great–grandchildren, Porter, Cooper, and Hutch Miller, and, Jace and Braedyn Hafemann; her twin sister, Dolores (Chet) Davis; sister-in-law, Sue Arentz.

She was further preceded in death by her son, Steve; son-in-law, Bob Moe; grandson, Ryan Moe; brothers, Bud and Larry; sister, Connie McIntyre; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Siewert.

Doris’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jim, and his staff, and the staff at Oakridge Care Center. Also, a sincere thank you, to Julie, Nancy, Darlene, Dean and Chaplain Terry of Hospice Alliance for all their care and compassion.

Visitation is Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9 to 10:15 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Kacalo will officiate. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Union Grove, is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be made to The Ryan Moe Scholarship Fund or Hospice Alliance Inc.
