VICTOR E. MULLER

Victor E. Muller, 89, Burlington, died Sept. 16, 2011. He was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Phillips, to the late Michael and Maria (Heitkamper) Muller. As a young child he moved from Phillips to Burlington and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School.

On July 25, 1942 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington, he married Norma Ruth Engelhardt. Following marriage they resided in Kenosha County before moving back to Burlington 11 years ago.

He had farmed for 32 years and was a custodian for 10 years at Antioch High School. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wilmot and was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. His passion was farming and he also enjoyed gardening. His wife and family were his main concern and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren lit up his life. He loved attending daily Mass at Queen of Peace Friary and praying the rosary.

Survivors include his wife; children, Victor (Jodie) Muller, Michael (Ivette) Muller, Sandra (Dennis) Huff, Joanne (David) Brown, Ruth Tisdale, Marie (David) Mitchell and Linda (Pete) Cleven; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.

He was further preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Henry Muller; brothers, Max and Ernest Muller; sisters, Verona Kania, Barbara “Sr. Marie Ernest” Muller and Irene Schranz.

Funeral services were Sept. 21, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wilmot. The Rev. Roger Savage officiated. Burial was in Holy Name Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, assisted the family.

Memorials to Holy Cross Catholic Church or to the Aurora Visiting Nurses Association are suggested.
