CHARLES J. EISENBART

Charles J. “Chuck” Eisenbart, 65, died March 1, 2012, at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.

He was born Dec. 2, 1946, in Burlington, to the late Fred and Hertha (Guse) Eisenbart. He was raised in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 1965. He attended Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he graduated in the summer of 1969.

He and Jeanne Muller were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington on June 15, 1968. They moved to Connecticut in 1970, and their only child, Jennifer, was born in 1974. The family stayed in Connecticut until 1988, when they moved back to Burlington.

In 2001, he became a member of the Burlington Lions Club. Since then, he served two terms as Lions Club president, as well as holding several other club and district offices. He was a proud transporter for the Lions Eye Bank. He and his family, members of the Lions and Lioness, supported him in the Lions’ motto: “We Serve.”

Survivors include his wife of 43 years; daughter, Jennifer; sister, Barbara (Dennis) Yanny; sisters-in-law, Germaine Eisenbart, Phyllis Eisenbart, Cathy (Dennis) Garoutte; Pat (Dan) McGraw; brother-in-law, David Muller; cousins; nieces; nephews and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Fred; his in-laws, Max and Dorothy Muller; and brother-in-law Jim (Judy) Muller.

A celebration of his life is planned for Sunday, March 11, at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m., with a service to follow immediately. The Rev. Greg Watling of New London officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Wisconsin Lions Eye Bank or donations to the family are suggested.
