The Union Grove High School girls volleyball team had little trouble at Elkhorn Tuesday, dispatching the Elks in three games, 25-14, 25-18 and 25-22.

“Everybody got to play. That was nice,” noted head coach Sarah Busalacchi.

The win improves the Bronco girls Southern Lakes Conference record to 4-2, and their overall mark this fall to 24-10. The girls currently are third in the SLC standings, behind Burlington and Westosha Central.

Senior Ashley Olsen led Union Grove with 12 kills.

“She’s really stepped up this year,” Busalacchi said. “She’s definitely the best hitter in the conference from the right side.”

Freshman Kylie Wilks added nine kills and sophomore Savannah Kohlhagen eight.

Kohlhagen also had five block kills, with sophomore Cassidy Kortendick and freshman Frankie Pettit adding four each.

Kohlhagen also led the team in digs with 10.

Setter Rachael Peterson had 32 assists.

The Broncos will host Delavan-Darien on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m.

The SLC Meet will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Union Grove.
