Just how good was the Burlington co-op swim team Tuesday night at Jefferson?

Consider this: even with most swimmers doing off events, the squad swept the victories at the meet and finished 1-2 in all three relays and 1-2-3 in four of the 11 events.

The end result was a 128-42 victory over Cambridge/Jefferson, and a still-untarnished Southern Lakes Conference record.

Burlington started off the evening by going 1-2 in the 200 medley relay, with Abby Hansen, Emily Gomez, Brittany Ehlert and Serena Wanasek winning in 1:57.51 and the B squad of Natalie Pufahl, Hannah Duerst, Sam Dziak and Camille Neitzel taking second in 2:08.63.

Anna Gomez, Coriann Dorgay and Candace Dziubinski then went 1-2-3 in the 200 freestyle in 2:01.19, 2:06.83 and 2:13.91, respectively.

In the 200 individual medley, Kaley Brown won in 2:34.28, while Eilis Purath was third in 2:36.65.

The co-op squad followed that with a sweep of the 50 free. Serena Wanasek won in 25.71, followed by her sister Sara (26.93) and Ehlert (27.08).

Emily Gomez then led a sweep in the 100 butterfly, winning in 1:02.24. Ehlert was second in 1:07.39, while Dziak was third in 1:07.96.

In the 100 freestyle, Serena Wanasek won in 56.03, while Hansen was second in 58.92. Sara Wanasek won the 500 free in 5:19.44, followed by Anna Gomez in second (5:25.52) and Dorgay (5:43.26).

The squad then went 1-2 in the 200 free relay, with the two Wanaseks, Anna Gomez and Ehlert combining for a win in 1:47.61 and the B squad of Dorgay, Neitzel, Hannah Mayer and Dziubinski taking second in 1:56.30.

In the 100 backstroke, Emily Gomez won in 1:02.74, while Hansen was second in 1:04.03. Duerst won the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.28.

In the final event of the evening, the 400 freestyle relay of Sara Wanasek, both Gomez sisters and Hansen won in 3:56.24, while the B squad of Dorgay, Dziubinski, Duerst and Marah Zinnen was second in 4:15.31.
