Lake Geneva bank robbed Monday

PNC Bank, 401 Broad St., Lake Geneva, was robbed Monday afternoon by a man who claimed to have a bomb.

Lake Geneva Police responded to the reported robbery at approximately 3:50 p.m.

The suspect was described as a white male, 35-55 years of age. He had a mustache, stocky build, is 6-6’3” tall and weighs approximately 225-245 lbs.

He was wearing a black baseball-style hat, black-framed sunglasses, a brown, plaid collared long sleeve button up shirt, blue jeans and white and blue/grey gym shoes.

In an attempt to conceal his identity, the suspect wore a blue surgical mask that covered the lower half of his face.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery but the suspect claimed to have a bomb. He fled from the bank on foot and was last seen heading south.

The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of money.

The Walworth County Sheriff’s Department is assisting the Lake Geneva Police Department with the case, which remains under investigation.
