Average retail gasoline prices in Wisconsin have fallen 5.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.56 per gallon yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 3,112 gas outlets in Wisconsin.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.54, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Wisconsin during the past week, prices yesterday were 35.6 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 3.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has decreased 2.7 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 31.6 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
“The national average has seen some downward direction in the last week, but the best is likely yet to come,” said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. “While there certainly are a few issues that could impact gasoline prices on our plate, the switch over back to winter gasoline has begun, and I do expect that gas prices may continue to move downward this week for most of the United States.”
