Water level predicted to rise through Friday

The Fox River in Burlington was nearly two feet over flood stage at 12.8 feet early Friday morning and is expected to rise above 13 feet before subsiding, according to the National Weather Service office in Sullivan. Burlington’s Riverside Park (above) is submerged and water has encroach upon Maryland Avenue, which is closed to through traffic.
