Monday afternoon’s severe thunderstorm – which prompted both a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning – had residents of Bohner’s Lake describing a funnel cloud over the area.
According to resident Ted Lupella, he followed the funnel cloud up into the area from Richmond, Ill. Another resident in the area said there was golf ball-sized hail, and there were numerous trees down in the area.
The threat of severe weather prompted the National Weather Service to issue a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 p.m. Monday.
