By a unanimous voice vote, the Wisconsin State Senate approved SB 685 Tuesday evening, a bill that would legalize cannabidiol (CBD) oil for treatment of seizures in the state.
The oil can be used to fight seizure disorders. It had initially faced strong opposition, but support for the bill had grown over the last month.
“I think the fact that there was a strong network of parents all around the state, who told an incredibly compelling story, melted the opposition,” said State Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.
