Several different law enforcement and rescue agencies were called to a rollover on Highway 11 at Highway J Monday afternoon at about 1:30 p.m.
According to a press release from the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, an initial investigation shows that a pick-up truck failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway J, and drove into the path of a grain truck/trailer. The driver of the pick-up truck needed to be extricated from his vehicle, and was then transported by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital.
The driver of the grain truck was also taken to Froedtert, by ambulance.
The Racine County Scanner Facebook page first reported the accident, describing it as a semi truck having rolled over and trapping its driver. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
Highway 11 was shut down in both directions. Sheriff’s officials expected the highway to reopen about 5 p.m.
UPDATE: The operator of the pick up truck was identified Tuesday morning by Sheriff’s officials as George Enerson, 29, of Delavan. The operator of the semi-tractor trailer was Anthony Bhimull, 34, of Twin Lakes.

I lived on HWY J for 9 years. That intersection is notorious for accidents. Year after year, multiple accidents and a few fatalities would occur. They need to treat that intersection like they do HWY J and 142 and put a 4 way stop with a red light there. Force these people to slow down and pay attention. How many accidents does it take before this is addressed?
A round-a-bout would most likely reduce crashes there to a minimum
