The Moving Wall – a traveling, half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial – is coming to Racine and will be available for viewing Aug. 27-31 at Pritchard Park.
The opening ceremonies will be at 5 p.m., Aug. 28, and will be preceded with the “Ride to the Wall,” led by Medal of Honor recipient Gary Wetzel.
Any individual, or group who would like to participate in the “Ride” should contact Denise at (262) 620-1824.
At the beginning of the ceremonies, there will be an entrance of color guards. Any color/honor guard that is interested in joining the formation should contact Don at (262) 632-6984.
Closing ceremonies will be Aug. 30, at 3 p.m. This ceremony will be preceded by a K-9 demonstration by the Racine Sheriff’s Department with comments by George Miller, canine handler in Vietnam.
