Pair charged with battery at bar

Two Burlington men are facing felony charges stemming from a November incident at the Hitch-N-Post bar.

Adam Lois, 24, and Eli Lois, 20, are both facing felony battery charges as well as misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges for an alleged attack.

According to the criminal complaint from Racine County Circuit Court, Racine County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the bar in Rochester on Nov. 1. An employee told police that the man who was attacked (not named in the complaint) had been helping her restock. After being taken to Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington, he was found to have facial fractures, bruising and lacerations.

The man was helping stock and close the bar when he was “attacked for no reason,” according to the witness.

Both the employee and the man attacked allegedly recognized Eli Lois, and later picked him and Adam out of a photo lineup. Another employee that night did the same.

Another person who witnessed the altercation, said he broke up the first part and then allegedly saw the two attack him again – kicking him in the head.

A sheriff’s deputy also found a knife on the floor of the bar following the attack, but couldn’t determine if it was used.

A preliminary hearing for both is set for June 24 at 8:30 a.m. at the Racine County courthouse.
