As the fall weather settles in, so do the area festivals.
This weekend, St. Charles Catholic Parish, Burlington, will host its 55th Fall Festival, starting at 11 a.m. Sunday.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the church’s turkey dinner being served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors over 70, $5 for children ages 6-12 and $1 for children 5 and under. Carryouts are $1 extra.
There will also be various raffles, including a car and cash raffle – with the grand prize either $16,500 toward a 2015 vehicle at Miller Motors or Lynch Chevrolet, or $15,000 cash – and a big screen TV raffle. There will also be a silent auction, craft raffles, face painting, bingo, a bake sale and the Hispanic community tent with music and food.
The festival fun will actually begin Saturday night with a live music performance of Benny “B” and the Blues Commission from 7-11 p.m. in the beer tent.
