A Yorkville woman who allegedly threatened to stab the father of her child Sept. 13 has been charged with several felonies in Racine County Circuit Court.
Devin Marie Lincoln, 21, is charged with first degree reckless endangerment and battery with great bodily harm – both with domestic abuse, repeater and use of a dangerous weapon enhancements.
She is also charged with misdemeanor disorderly for the same incident.
According to a news release from the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to Durand Avenue in Yorkville Sunday for a report of a man with possible self-inflicted wounds.
When the deputies arrived, they found a man bleeding from what appeared to be a stab wound.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Racine County Circuit Court, Lincoln was “belligerent and antagonistic” while deputies tried to interview the man.
The man stated in the complaint that he arrived at the residence to give his son his breathing treatment. He had allegedly learned Lincoln was out buying alcohol with a friend.
When Lincoln returned, the man said they began arguing, and alleged that Lincoln had been drinking. As the argument progressed, Lincoln allegedly produced a small knife. The man told deputies that he got Lincoln to drop the knife by biting her hand, and then picked it up himself.
He then told deputies that he “curled down away” from Lincoln so he wouldn’t be struck with the knife, and accidentally stabbed himself in the arm.
