The popular story, written by L. Frank Baum, tells the story of Dorothy, who is afraid of her dog, Toto, being taken by the cranky old lady, Miss Gulch.
A tornado sweeps through the Kansas farm where Dorothy lives with her aunt and uncle, and sweeps her away to the Land of Oz. There, she needs to seek the help of the Wizard in order to return home. Along the way to see the Wizard, Dorothy meets a number of friends who also need help – and makes an enemy of the Wicked Witch of the West.
The roles of Dorothy, Aunt Em, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Lion, the Wicked Witch, Glinda, Toto and the Wizard are all double cast.
