A 28-year-old man who police say was intoxicated while reportedly choking his wife during a three-way sexual encounter is back in the Racine County Jail.
Charged with felony bail jumping is Brandon J. Stokes, Burlington.
According to the criminal complaint, city officers were called to the 300 block of East Market Street May 18 and spoke with Stokes’s wife, who complained Stokes had been drinking and causing a disturbance, and had choked her during a three-way sexual intercourse experience.
The wife advised she was choked only for a short time but that the pain was “too much;” she said she was not afraid Stokes would hurt her, but was afraid he would not stop because he was intoxicated, according to the complaint.
Stokes, when interviewed, said he and his wife had been drinking May 18 and had a friend over for a threesome; Stokes told police his wife was now mad and he did not know why she called the police, according to the complaint.
Stokes admitted to officers he had been drinking whiskey, according to the complaint. It notes Stokes is out on bail in a pending Racine County felony case for possession of heroin, narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia and, as a condition of his bail, Stokes cannot consume alcohol or drugs.
The complaint contends Stokes submitted to a preliminary breath test, which registered a value of 0.098 per cent. In Wisconsin, values of 0.08 and higher are evidence of intoxication.
Stokes made his initial appearance in court May 19, when probable cause was found that he committed the bail-jumping offense charged.
As of press time, Stokes remained jailed in lieu of payment of a $400 cash bond.
He is next due in court for the bail jumping on June 3 for a preliminary hearing.
