A member of the Browns Lakes Aquaducks was taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert on Thursday evening following a bad landing on a jump.
Jaci Bever of the Aquaducks confirmed the situation Friday, but was also able to say the skier – who is not being named at this time – had been treated and released.
“It was as a precautionary measure,” Bever said of the trip to Froedtert.
She said the skier was attempting a front flip on the jump in the Aquaducks show area, and landed awkwardly. Safety personnel went to the skier immediately, and the skier was talking to staff and able to move his toes by the time Flight for Life took him to the hospital.
Bever added that there has been an outpouring of support through social media over the last 24 hours.
“We’re very thankful that the community is thinking of him,” Bever said.
