A body was found in the John Maris Wildlife Area on Fish Hatchery Road in the late morning hours Wednesday.
According to Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling, the initial findings of his investigation team is that the death was accidental.
“His death appears consistent with that of an accident,” Schmaling said through text Thursday night. “No foul play is suspected.”
An autopsy on the body was completed Thursday. The name of the man, who is from the Town of Burlington, will be released when family has been properly notified, Schmaling said.
