The Central Racine County Health Department announced long-term healthcare facilities are critically low on personal protective equipment and have asked for donations to fulfill its needs.
“At this time we are accepting homemade fabric masks,” the CRCHD states on its Facebook page.
Personal protective equipment includes N95 respirators, disposable gowns, facemasks (dust masks), hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies.
Health officials said those looking to contribute can call 262-898-4460, or if anyone wants to donate over the weekend, they can send CRCHD a direct message on its Facebook page to set up a drop off time.
The health department seeks these items to help workers as more coronavirus cases are confirmed, which according to state officials, have risen to at least 281 as of Saturday afternoon.
Of the 281 confirmed cases, two were reported by CRCHD, with the rest coming from the City of Racine.
