If you’ve been anywhere near downtown Burlington lately – and more importantly, had a craving for a burger – you will have noticed a little change.
Fred’s Parkview – a local restaurant that has boasted that it has “the world’s best burgers” now for 31 years – is in the process of a renovation.
When it is finished, the restaurant will have added 600 square feet of seating and put in a new kitchen – which, according to owner Fred Mabson, will allow the business to “gear it up” for larger crowds.
Construction started about a month ago, and Mabson expects to be finished by the middle of November.
He said the restaurant will have to close for 5-7 days when the old kitchen is ripped and replaced, and the renovations are finished.
“We probably won’t be to that point for another 2-3 weeks,” Mabson said.
Fred himself is a class act. I hope this addition helps him . But, next step bring more people then the only place to go is up.
thanks fred for the view.
