A water quality advisory at the public beach on Bohners Lake in the Town of Burlington was lifted Wednesday, one day after it was imposed.
Samples of water collected at the beach Wednesday tested safe for swimming, according to officials with the Western Racine County Health Department.
The advisory – warning swimmers to avoid ingesting the water and to bathe afterward – was put in place a week after the beach had been closed for six days due to unhealthy levels of bacteria in the water.
People with questions regarding water quality should contact the Western Racine County Health Department at (262) 763-4930. Water quality testing results at local beaches are posted at www.wrchd.org.
