Highway 11 from Highway 120 west to I-43 in Walworth County is scheduled to close to through-traffic today as the state Department of Transportation begins a $1.5 million repaving project.
Construction along the approximately five-mile stretch includes milling of the current pavement, joint and crack repair and asphalt repaving, according to the DOT.
Highway 11 will be closed to anything but local traffic during the project. Through-traffic will be detoured north on Highway 120 to East Troy where it intersects with I-43.
The project contractor, Stark Asphalt, is expected to complete work by late June. However the actual date will be dependent upon weather, officials said.
