Tickets were still available for the Burlington High School production of “Les Miserables” earlier this week but the show’s directors are warning that several shows are close to being sold out.
The school is producing the musical – which gained international fame first as a Broadway musical and then as a film released in late 2012 – on the 10th anniversary of the school’s 2003 production.
Co-director Beth Reetz stressed Tuesday night that some shows have “very limited” tickets remaining, and that she, fellow director Troy Everson and musical director Penny Yanke expect the second week of the show to sell out quickly.
The show opened Wednesday night. Production dates for the show – a tale of a man seeking redemption in 18th century France – are:
• Thursday, May 16, 7 p.m.
• Fridays, May 10 and 17, 7 p.m.
• Saturdays, May 11 and 18, 7 p.m.
• Sundays, May 12 and 19, 2 p.m.
All tickets for the show are $5 and can be purchased in the BHS office. Due to the mature nature of the show, children under the age of 13 should be accompanied by a parent.
