High school leadership club will again host annual event

Spring finally decided to stick around this week – and it picked a good time to do it.
For the first time in a few years, the Burlington High School DRIVEN program Easter Egg Hunt will have good weather.
Scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Saturday morning on the BHS athletic fields, the hunt is set for a day with temperatures forecast in the 60s and partly cloudy with only a small chance of precipitation.
In its seventh year, the hunt will have more than 12,000 eggs with hidden prizes, countless activities and four different age groups. In case of bad weather, the hunt will be relocated Burlington High School.
The gates will open at 10 a.m. with participants receiving an Easter goodies bag at the gate. There will also be a canned goods collection for Love, Inc. and a coloring book station, as well as facing painting and concessions, and a 50/50 raffle.
The age 0-2 hunt will be at 10:15 a.m., followed by the age 3-5 hunt at 10:25 a.m. The age 6-8 hunt will be at 10:35 a.m., with the age 9-11 hunt at 10:45 a.m.
The 50/50 raffle winner will be announced at 11 a.m., with the end of the hunt set for 11:30 a.m.
