Pair were reported missing in Cedar Park neighborhood
Residents of Burlington’s Cedar Park neighborhood were on edge for two hours Thursday night as family members, firefighters and law enforcement officials searched for two girls who had been reported missing.
The girls were eventually found safe near their homes.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office reports receiving a call about 8:40 p.m. regarding the two missing girls, ages 7 and 11.
Sheriff’s deputies, investigators and Town of Burlington firefighters responded to the scene to help search for the girls.
The two were found about 10:52 p.m. in an outbuilding not far from their homes, according to a sheriff’s department press release.
