The Burlington Area School District, which saw a previous referendum fail, went back to the drawing board and presented taxpayers with a different choice in 2018.
The change won over voters during a November referendum that will allow the district to replace an aging Karcher Middle School and complete other needed repairs around the district.
The school referendum was rated among the top news stories of 2018 by the staff of the Standard Press.
