Traffic stop leads to arrest of suspected dealer

A Town of Burlington man accused of a dozen drug offenses, including eight felonies, remained in jail on a $250,000 cash bond after his initial appearance in Racine County Circuit Court on Monday.
David R. Hodgkins, 53, a repeat offender, allegedly possessed 250 grams of THC, 11 live marijuana plants, methamphetamine, LSD, multiple prescription drugs, digital scales and packaging material scattered at his residence in the 31700 block of Korth Circle Drive.
Hodgkins faces felony charges of possession of TCH, possession with intent to deliver amphetamines, two counts of possession of amphetamine/LSD, two counts of manufacturing and delivering THC, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Each of the charges carries a second and subsequent offense modifier because he was previously convicted of a felony.
His previous convictions happened in Walworth, Brown and Milwaukee counties along with Madison County, Ill., the complaint shows.
According to the complaint, Hodgkins was arrested by a City of Burlington police officer, who reportedly saw him run a red light in the downtown area around 2 a.m. March 14.
