The annual Home and Garden Show hosted by the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce and scheduled for Saturday has been postponed out of concern related to the spread of the coronavirus.
Jan Ludtke, executive director of the organization, said in an email the decision was made in accordance with recommendations from public health officials to limit non-essential gatherings of 250 or more people.
She said the current plan is to reschedule the event in the future. Notice of the postponement went out to vendors and other scheduled participants Friday morning, she said.
The annual event, which features the Chocolate Extravaganza, had been scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Burlington High School. The show was set to feature about 100 vendors showcasing a variety of products and services related to home and garden, in addition to seminars and other activities.
