School district selling sections of former gym floor
The Burlington Area School District is selling sections of the wooden basketball court from the former Burlington High School/Karcher Middle School gym.
A crew salvaged pieces of the floor before the building was torn down last summer, according to a district official. The sections vary in size from 6 feet x 2.5 feet to more than 16 feet x 4 feet.
The public can purchase pieces of the floor for $75 each and pick them up at the district office, 209 Wainwright Ave., on Tuesday, Dec. 28 and Wednesday, Dec. 29 from noon to 3 p.m.
